HOST FAMILIES
A home away from home. Each Glastonbury ABC scholar is matched with a host family — a vital bridge between the Glastonbury ABC House and the Glastonbury community. These families offer more than just a place to stay; they provide connection, care, and a sense of belonging.
Host families welcome scholars into their homes one weekend per month and on Wednesday evenings during the school year. From shared meals and everyday routines to family outings and quiet conversations, these moments create a “home away from home” where scholars can recharge, reflect, and feel supported.
Many host families form lasting relationships with scholars and their families — bonds that continue long after graduation. It’s a commitment rooted in warmth, trust, and the belief that every scholar deserves a place to feel at home.
